Boot Camp

I'm way behind on posting anything so here goes nothing.
On January 21, 2012 I attended the Mid-Atlantic Multisport Triathlon Boot Camp.  The camp was held at Endless Pools and I was looking forward to my first swim in an Endless pool.  We broke into groups of 8 to 10 people so everyone had a different schedule.  I started with a session of stretching followed by a bike session on the indoor trainer.  We had a meeting to discuss different training plans and then my group moved on to the CompuTrainer to evaluate our peddling  efficiency.  I need to work on my peddle stroke since it isn't a smooth circle.  If you have the money I would recommend buying a CompuTrainer.
Next up was a video session on the treadmill to evaluate my running.  I never liked running but my form was good and didn't need any adjustments.
The Endless Pool had a mirror in the bottom of the pool to help us stay lined up in the pool.  There were a couple of cameras setup so our swim could be recorded and reviewed after the session.  I have so many swimming flaws that my session ended quickly so they could give me feedback right away.  Swimming is all about technique and I have none!  Okay, maybe I have some swimming technique but it's flawed.  I had a tough time figuring out my swimming pace, too fast and your hand hits the end of the pool.  Too slow and your feet hit the other end of the pool.  I'm sure I'd figure it out with more practice in the Endless Pool.
As if biking, running and swimming wasn't enough exercise for one day I also had to curl in the Mixed League since I couldn't find anyone to substitute for me.
